Reporting from LA

As travel takes us across the globe we thriftsters like to look for a few little goodies for you to check out when you go a thrifting. Here are some favorites from LA.

Hidden Treasures is a suitable name for this place. Take Topanga Canyon ( its really a mountain) towards Malibu Beach and one of the only stops you'll see is this little gem

Full of mountain people's cast offs-I wanted every one of these awfully-wonderfully suede bomber jackets.

If nothing else the decor was enough to draw me in.

The outside courtyard, need I say more?

When i spotted this entryway I knew it needed to be shared with fellow thriftsters. Enjoy.

A fellow thriftster grabbing a coffee at the local ( and only ) espresso shop nearby.

After we ventured back to civilization I found this darling cafe- Aroma - in the heart of Studio City. Lance Bass even showed.

The coffee was excellent but the adorable decor and mismatched vintage furniture is what really pulls at my heartstrings.

This outdoor cabinet turned coffee station is one of the many charms.

After our coffee break I figured we might as well check out the tiny strip of boutiques and shops surrounding the area.

Here are the highlightes:

Most of the stuff in this shop on Tujunga Ave ( between Woodridge Estates and Hoity Toity) was pricey but I scored a vintage creme lace dress for $18.

Cowboy boots are in high demand and hence highly priced, I decided to wait on these.

Next we hit up Buffalo Exchange, a fav of ours in Ny and now LA.

$18 boots, thats more like it!

A random spot next door to BE that I cant remember the name of, was only worth the visit due to its outlandish decor.

Plaid!! Got to love a good plaid find! American Vintage had SO many.

It also had a ton of cowboy boots, Buffalo Exchange was still a better deal though.

It turns out American Vintage is great for classic pieces like these converses in just about every size needed. Def worth your time!
